Mindfulness Meditation and Relaxation Session

As a follow-up to Amber’s mindfulness meditation and movement series she will be holding monthly meet-ups to support you to stay inspired in your practice. You don’t have to have completed the series to attend these sessions, they are for anyone wanting to sit in stillness and be supported in community to explore these practices.   The next session will be held on Wednesday, April 24th, from 6:00 – 7:15 pm.

These sessions are by donation, and will be in support of our SEVA fund, which helps to support local families and organizations we believe in. No donation is to small, our priority is making this space to come together to practice, accessible for everyone.

We get really caught up in the busyness of life. We are living in an overstimulated world and if we don’t take time to stop, decompress and process then we start to fall apart. What does mindfulness even mean? In simple terms, it means to pay attention to your present moment. It’s a practice that brings us back home to ourselves, underneath all the distractions life presents to us. In this class we are gently reintroducing ourselves back to our breath and finding a path underneath the incessant merry-go-round of our thoughts. When we don’t give ourselves a chance to be quiet and integrate the experiences of our life then we begin to live in a chronic state of stress, we can move through our lives on auto-pilot, and the effects are profound. We see it in our relationships, in the way we communicate, in our health, in our sleep, in our overall energy levels. By simply slowing down we start to reverse these effects and become healthier, happier and calmer. Please join us as we journey back into the simple experience of a deep full breath, some quiet time in stillness, and gentle slow mindful movement.
