Sat Naam and Namaste, we hope you are finding a place of peace amidst the new rhythms and the beautiful canvas of colors autumn paints for us. I love this cozy time of transformation as we see the natural world changing around us, a little bit more everyday, readying us for the deeper months of hibernation.
We have lots of news to report this week from our sacred little space in Heritage Court.
Tonight is week 2 of our most recent prenatal series, Vichardeep is excited to hold safe space this evening, honoring one of the biggest transformations in a woman’s life.
We are also diving deeper into our new mindful movement, meditation and relaxation class this evening from 7:15 – 8:30 pm. Mindfulness based practices are rooted in self compassion, and acceptance for ourselves and our life circumstances exactly as we show up. This class is a gentle way to explore movement and sensations in our bodies as well as the patterns of our minds in a safe and guided practice. The class also includes an extended relaxation to support your nervous system as a reset in these busy and overstimulated times. Can you give yourself permission to simply be with your breath and invite your body to rest and relax, we know this isn’t always easy.
This week we also introduce a second offering of this class on Thursday afternoons from 1:45 – 3:00 pm. There is no need to preregister, we invite you to drop – in when the space opens up in your life to attend. Our Mindful classes are either by regular studio pass or by donation, our mission is to make these practices accessible to everyone.
We want to take this opportunity to say thank you, to all of you. We managed to collect a full basket of food and some financial support for the Lanark County Food Bank last month, we will be having our monthly karma class for the Food Bank this coming Sunday, Thanksgiving weekend, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. This monthly class is a beautiful way of honoring YOU, through a gentle movement practice followed by an extended gong relaxation with Simonne. We are accepting non – perishable food items, as well as/or financial donations for the food bank. 100% of all donations will be going directly to the Lanark County Food Bank. We appreciate your support, and we appreciate the commitment of the Food Bank to our community. It takes a village to thrive, and we are so grateful we are part of this one!
We have a second special karma class this month, next Tuesday, October 15th, from 6:15 – 7:30 pm with Lindsey. Lindsey is intimately involved with the theatrical production, Lighting The Way, highlighting our global climate crisis. This powerful work will be held at the Mississippi Mills Textile Museum October 17th and 18th Click here to find out more and purchase tickets. We are holding a by donation Karma yoga class at our studio to help support the work of Lighting The Way, 100% of all donations will go directly towards supporting a local environmental initiative.
Please note Lindsey’s regular weekly classes will be cancelled next week (Tuesday, October 15th), she will be holding the above Open Karma Class in place of her 6:00 Mens Yoga and 7:30 Hatha Mixer.
Please stay tuned for upcoming monthly by donation classes and other special events we have brewing. Feeling very blessed to do this work.
Please know we are here, in service, for each of you. If your path brings you to a place of curiosity and exploration of yoga, meditation and wellness practices, please know we are here in our community to support you to feel the best you can and to perhaps gently guide you a little deeper inside.
